If you are buying a house or a flat in the UK, a house survey – also known as a home survey or property survey – is highly recommended before you buy the property. Here, we tell you what a house survey is, and why you should get one from an RICS firm.
The level two survey is designed for clients (buyers, vendors and owners) seeking a professional and objective report on the condition of the main elements of a property. It will not contain any detailed advice on repairs.
Fee dependant on location and value of the home.
A RICS Level 3 Building Survey, also known as a Full Building Survey, is the most in-depth inspection available and is ideal for older, larger, or more complex properties. This comprehensive survey provides a detailed assessment of a building’s condition, covering all accessible areas inside and out. It highlights any defects, structural issues, or potential problems and includes expert recommendations for maintenance, repairs, and future upkeep.
Fee dependant on location and value of the home.
If we have no availability, we will recommend a trusted surveying practice.
Fee £4000.00 for small residential projects.
Refurbishment Surveys include the following:
Level 3 Building Survey
Measured Survey
Planning permission architectural drawings - existing and proposed
Building Regulation construction drawings
Schedule of Works for Client Tendering
Party Wall Notices, if applicable
121 training on administering a JCT Homeowner Contract.
